Description

Mainly used in the food industry to transport 600 litre EURO containers vertically. This conveyor can be made for drums, small containers or other applications. It can also be used in other industries such as chemical and pharmaceutical industries and mechanical engineering. The vertical conveyor has been designed with ergonomics in mind to avoid the risk of injury to personnel and to make production more efficient. *Structure and function: The structure consists of 2 main parts, the main stand and the lifting frame. The frame basically consists of two columns made of sheet metal and fully welded single hollow profile. The lower frame is provided with 4 feet to fix the machine to the ground. The lifting frame is mainly made of fully welded single hollow profile and runs inside the columns. The vertical movement of the lifting frame is carried out by electromechanical drive of a roller chain. The container to be lifted is inserted into the lifting frame and for safety reasons the lifting frame is provided with a retaining mechanism that secures the container in its position. The vertical conveyor is driven by an electric gear motor with brake. The operation is controlled by electric push buttons, using the "up" button for lifting and the "down" button for returning to the ground. The control box is equipped with an emergency stop button. For safety reasons, the machine is equipped with a safety cage with electrically locked doors on the lower and upper levels to prevent accidents. ATTENTION! The transport of people is not permitted. *General points: The vertical conveyor is designed according to the requirements of the food industry and complies with the following CE standards: EEC-89/392, 91/368, 93/44, 93/68 and EEG-73/23, 89/336 The vertical conveyor can be supplied in the following standard versions at an additional cost: - low-profile version (VT 800 ML) - lifting frame for other containers - for other lifting heights *Technical data: The main parts are made of glass bead blasted stainless steel, AISI 304. The lower frame is equipped with 4 feet (M20) made of stainless steel. The feet are adjustable in height (+25/-15 mm) and are fixed to the floor with M16 screws. The vertical conveyor is equipped with a safety cage with electrically locked doors on both the upper and lower levels. The doors are also mechanically locked with a spring loaded latch. The doors on the upper level can be opened at the inlet or on the opposite side. Inside the columns, the lifting frame runs on four high density plastic wheels. Power is transmitted via two 1" simplex steel roller chains, BS 228-1962 (SMS 1613). The roller chain is attached to the lifting frame with stainless steel link details. (As an option, the chain and sprockets can be made of stainless steel). The vertical conveyor is equipped with electromechanical limit switches to stop the up and down movement and a safety switch at the upper position. The push button box has electrical buttons to operate the up and down movement with an emergency stop. Available in various sizes / conveyor heights!
